Bob “Larry’ Linehan 88 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at his residence with his step-daughter Evelena Pickens by his side.
He was born on May 7, 1923 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Matthew and Freda Becker Linehan.
Bob was a retired master electrician and a World War II US Army veteran holding rank of sergeant. He was a member of Calvary Orthodox Lutheran church and lifetime member of the VFW Post 1516.
He is survived by his children, Robert Linehan of Georgia, Richard (Vicki) Linehan of Sugar Grove, Ohio, Linda (Fred) Clark of Westerville, Ohio and Cindy (Bill) Sellars of Ontario, Canada; 3 grandchildren, Kelli Scott, Beth Young and James Sellars; several great grandchildren; brother, Elmer Linehan and sister Dorothy Henderly all of Lancaster, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
HE was preceded in death by his wives, Charlene and Ora Linehan, parents, an infant and brothers, Tim and Matt Linehan.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCATSER, OHIO 43130. Caring cremation to follow. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be given to Calvary Orthodox Lutheran Church, 508 N. Broad St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
