He was born in Baltimore, MD on April 10, 1925 to the late William L. and Marie Etzel Emich. He was a World War II US Army veteran, where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
Bill was a graduate of The Ohio State University and a retired manager for Goodyear with 35 years of service. He was a former member of Bremen Presbyterian Church.
Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years, his high school sweet heart, Virginia “Ginnie” Emich; daughter, Sarah (Scott) Pugh of Lancaster, Ohio and canine companion, Topsy.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Main Street Terrace Care Center for their love and care of Bill.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery.
