Bill Asher

Bill Y. Asher, age 88 of Lancaster, died September 6th, 2017 at his residence. He was born to the late, Lee and Flossie VansCoy Asher in Clarksburg, W. V. He was the Postmaster in Rockbridge and he was a broker and realtor at his real estate company, Asher Realty. He was also a longtime member of Faith Memorial Church. Bill will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Joy (James) Tomlinson; five grandsons, Patrick and Tyler Frazier, Jason (Tiffanee), Jared (Christina), and Darren (Jessica) Moyer; great grandchildren, Ashteen, Mason, Lilly, Ava, and Hailie Moyer; brother, Roy (Miriam) Asher; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 62years, Louise Asher; daughter, Barbara Frazier; and sister, Freeda Asher.
The family would like to give a special thanks to FairHoPe Hospice and good friends, Larry and Cindy Mathias.
A funeral service will take place on Monday at 1PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Dr. Mel Truex and Pastor Tony Salvatori. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of service on Monday. The Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail will have military honors at Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Memorials can be made to the FairhoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130.
