Beulah Ann Whitson

Beulah Ann (Hobbs) Whitson, 82, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. 

She was born January 21, 1941 in Paducah, KY to the late George Damon and Beulah (Hardin) Hobbs. Beulah worked for a while as a pharmacy technician, although she spent most of her life as a homemaker and volunteer.  Beulah served as president of the TWIGS in the 90’s, raising money for the Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan, Ohio. Beulah and her late husband of 62 years, Donald R. Whitson, had the opportunity to live in many different places with Don’s military career and eventually retired to Florida in the early 2000s.  After Don’s death, Beulah moved from Florida to live with her son and daughter-in-law in Baltimore, Ohio.

Beulah is survived by her son Michael (Marcy) Whitson; grandchildren Kelly (D.J.) Schrader, Andrew (Vanessa) Whitson, and Danny Whitson; great grandchildren Tavian Schrader and Rosie Whitson; and her brothers R. D. Hobbs and Marvin “Tommy” Hobbs. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Whitson; parents George Damon and Beulah (Hardin) Hobbs; sisters Marie Hobbs-McManus and Nellie Hobbs-Dawes; and brothers Hoppie Hobbs, George Hobbs, Jamie Hobbs, and Charlie Hobbs. 

Caring Cremation® has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11 AM in the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, Ohio 43105.
