Betty “Joan” (Briggs) Miller

Betty “Joan” (Briggs) Miller, 93, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 11, 2023 with family by her side. She was born to the late John and Margaret Briggs in West Portsmouth, OH.

Betty was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of Lancaster for 76 years, and a 75 year member of the Rushcreek Grange. She was also a site manager of Meals on Wheels in for the Bremen area.

She is survived by her son, Phil (Suzi) Miller; grandchildren, Phillip Miller II and Melissa Miller, both of Bremen; great grandchildren, Ilysa (Jacob Lyons) Miller, Zac (Mackenzie) Miller, Ashely Miller, Corey Mosley and Monica Mosley; great-great grandchildren, Aerilyn, Chloe, Asher, and Isaac; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Neal Miller; granddaughter, Kimberly Bitler; siblings, Lynn, Lois, Katherine, Edna, Louise, Jim, and John; and parents.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Todd Noland will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 PM and again from 6-8 PM on Wednesday.
