Betty Wolfinger

Betty J. Wolfinger, age 96, of Lancaster, passed away on January, 26th, 2018. Betty was born to the late Minnie (Walters) Singleton and John Singleton on November 27th, 1921 in Lancaster; and preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” C. Wolfinger, Sr.; parents; and 8 brothers and sisters.

Betty had generational ties to Lancaster; she was a life member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a graduate of the LHS Class of 1939. Betty’s passion for life enabled her to be a wonderful friend and parent. Betty was an independent woman ahead of her time.

Betty is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” C. (Sallie Voyles) Wolfinger, Jr., Gary H. (Lisa) Wolfinger, and Carol Susan (Alan) Lowe; grandchildren, Heath Strawser, Nicholas Warner, Natalie (Edward) Pingel, Kailani Lowe, Makayla Lowe, Jasmine Moschell, Jon (Ally) Dawson, David (Shelley) Moore, Cheri (Jason) Archer, , multiple great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3rd at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Diana Gugel, Pastor of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Family and friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster.
