Betty E. Raybourne 83 of Lancaster, Ohio died peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her residence.
She was a retired Beautician for Ruby’s Beauty Shop for 50 years. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and the Lydia Women’s Circle at church.
She is survived by her daughter, Nanette Derflinger of Pleasantville, Ohio; son, Jeffrey (Juanita) Raybourne of Griffith, Indiana; grandchildren, Lilly Derflinger of Lancaster, Ohio, Chloe Derflinger, Fred (Dana Sisco) Derflinger of Westerville, Ohio, Sarah (Rob) Hoekstra of Bloomingdale, Illinois and Grant Raybourne of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; great grandchild, Nora Jean Daniels of Wapakoneta, Ohio; brother, Glenford Mathews of Circleville, Ohio; brother-in-law, Barney Fail of Lancaster, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Betty Raybourne and Norma Mathews both of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” E. Raybourne, parents, Marcellus and Anna Mathews, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral service will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Emil Klatt, III officiating. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Memorial gifts may be given to St. Peters Lutheran Church Steeple Fund, 105 E. Mulberry St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
