Betty Jo Miller

Betty Jo “Mom” Miller passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 23rd, 2017, at the age of 87. She was born in Huntington, W.V. on September 9, 1929, to the late Marshal Lee Harshbarger and Eunice Della (Blankenship) Harshbarger.

She was a Member of The Women of the Moose Lodge 955. Betty was a Bartender for many years in the Sugar Grove, Ohio area. She touched many lives along the way and was known as “MOM” to all. She was loved dearly by those who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her four daughters, Catherine Miller, Mary “Teri” (Russ Cochenour) Fauble, Barbara (James Naylor) Miller, and Karen Sue (Phil Connelly) Miller; two step children, Flora (Lou) Ellis and James (Sandy) Miller of Chesapeake, Ohio. Grandchildren, Tracie South & (Russell), Carrie Ann (Brian) Ray, Jamie Fauble, Beth Fauble & (Brad), Frank Underwood & (Anne), Tangie Ayers, Terry (Maria) Chandler, Katie Underwood & (Hank), Tina (Preston) Bocook, Scarlett Dickson, and Gary (Danielle) Dicksons; great grandchildren, Kyle Chandler, Kaylee Layne, Haydon Hysell, Mayson Hysell, Salem Lott, and Josie Maria Ray; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Millard J Miller; sister, Beatrice Kosuth; brother, Leo Harshbarger; and step son, John Miller.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. Burial will follow in Stukey Cemetery, Sugar Grove. Friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Moose Lodge 955, 1201 Sugar Grove Rd, Lancaster following the funeral service. Donations may be made in memory of Betty to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or to the family to assist with expenses.
