Betty Jeffers

Betty Jane Jeffers 85 of Lancaster, Ohio died Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Baltimore, Ohio to the late Wilburn and Elsie (Whittington) Tucker and was a graduate of Liberty Union High School.

She was a kind loving mother, homemaker, and avid Buckeye fan and enjoyed going to auctions with her husband John.

Betty is survived by her two sons, John Jeffers, Jr. and Jay (Sandy) Jeffers; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Friesner and June (ken) Holland and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John F. Jeffers, Sr., parents, daughter, Cindy Storts and siblings, Donald, Abe, Billy, Josephine, Patsy and Kathryn.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio with Pastor Melvin Truex officiating. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-5 P.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
