Betty Hiles

Betty L. Hiles, age 74 of Lancaster, died peacefully August 8th, 2017 at her residence. She was born on May 10th, 1943 to the late Charles and Evelyn Fishbaugh Cox. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She retired from Anchor Hocking Glass. Betty was a hard worker who enjoyed travel, working in her garden, and enjoyed nature. She was a long time associate at “The Dog Patch.” Betty will always be in our hearts, we all love you.

Betty is survived by her children, Susan (Mark) Rager, Thomas Hiles III, Michael (Vicky) Hiles, Colleen (Robert) Graham, Brenda (Chuck) Hietiko; grandchildren, Sommer (Frank) Raver, Brent (Annie) Rager, Jason, Josh, Colin, Corbin, and Caden; great grandchildren, Eli, Brayden, and Madison; special friend to the family, Jay Temple; sisters, Lois Bauman and Alice Grover; brother, Ron Cox and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 49 years, Thomas W. Hiles Jr.

A private family funeral service will take place at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Mark Raddatz. Caring Cremation ™ will take place following the service. A private graveside service at Forest Rose Cemetery will take place at a later date, where both Betty and Thomas will be interred, with the Lancaster Burial Detail presiding.
