Betty Griffin

Betty J. Griffin 86 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Winchester Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was retired bookkeeper for Irving Drew Shoe Factory with 44 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, raised miniature ponies, a great dog lover and traveling.
Betty is survived by her son, Robert Jones of Lancaster, Ohio; step-children, Rick Griffin of Ohio and Connie of Oklahoma; three step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Bender of Lancaster, Ohio; two nieces, Belinda and June also a great-niece and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Griffin, parents, Ivan and Thelma Bender, sister-in-law, Betty Bender and also additional brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST. LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit 10-12 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
