Betty Estep of Lancaster passed away June 7, 2018, surrounded by loving family at Cindy’s Adult Care Center in Sugar Grove, Ohio. Betty, the daughter of Henry C. and Mabel M. Kennedy was born April 15, 1933 in, Pleasantville, Ohio
Betty enjoyed traveling to Amish Country and sharing family vacations in Gatlinburg, TN. She always thought food tasted better in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, while there she also enjoyed shopping for Buie Pottery and crafts. When she couldn't be outside working in her flowers, she enjoyed doing word search books and coloring. In addition to her family vacations she enjoyed visits and rides with her special Sister-in-Law Judy Kennedy, and lunches with special friends Joan Black and Marge Rowles.
She was always excited to see and spend time with her grandson, Erick North, his wife Tasha, and Granddaughter Miranda North and her fiancé Luke Snow. She always kept updated and was proud of their accomplishments.
Betty’s enjoyment of crafts and traveling will live on through the lives of her daughter, Paula (Fred) North of Logan; grandson, Erick North, his wife Tasha, granddaughter Miranda North and Miranda’s Fiancé Luke Snow. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Judy Kennedy, Mildred Estep; son-in-law, Mark Meadows, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents; Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ron, their son, Jeffery Estep, daughter, Pamela Hewitt, and brothers, Larry, and Max Kennedy.
The family would like to offer thanks to Dr. Sarah Alley and Dr. William Wilmer, for their care of Betty over the years. Special appreciation for the wonderful care and support that FairHope Hospice and Palliative Care and Cindy’s Adult Care Center so lovingly gave to Betty and the family.
Friends may call on Sunday June 10th, from 1PM-4PM Sunday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday June 11th, at 1:30PM, with Mike Bigwood officiating. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery.
