Betty J. Claffey

Betty Jean Claffey, 81, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Pickering House. She was born on March 6, 1942, in Dwight, Virginia to the late Holland and Lillie (Keene) Fuller.

She loved time with her family. Betty enjoyed scrapbooking, and playing Bingo with her Bickford friends. She was an amazing cook, baker, and cake decorator.

Betty is survived by her children Kimberly Ann (Brian) Friesner, Kristi Lynn (Peter) Heuerman, and Randy Lee (Darla) Claffey; grandchildren Lillie, Emma, Katrina, Kate, Blaine, and Kendrick; brothers John and Belford Fuller; sister Peggy Keen, sister in law Mabel Claffey; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Larry Lee Claffey; her parents; brothers Buford and Robert Fuller; and sisters Beulah Mullins, Mavis Gibson, and Joan Fuller.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:30AM in the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH, 43130. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, December 14,2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home, and again on Friday one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
