Betty Jean Balser 70 of Thurston, Ohio died Friday, March 4, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center. She attended Thurston United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Charles Allen Balser of Thurston, Ohio; daughter, Elizabeth Renae (James) Chalfant of Lancaster, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Jacob Tyler Whipple and Zachary Christopher Whipple all of Lancaster, Ohio; sisters, Earlene Fouts of Hebron, Ohio, Marge Patrick of Johnstown, Ohio, and Marilyn (Bill) DeLawder of Frazeysburg, Ohio; sister-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Karen (mark) Mathias and Victor (Barbara) Balser all of Grand Rapids, Michigan; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl E. Balser, parents, Earl and Verta Patrick.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
