Betty Ann (Derflinger) Wilson

Betty Ann Derflinger Wilson, age 76, of Lancaster, passed away on August 30, 2023.

She was born to the late Howard and Agnes Derflinger on November 13, 1946.

Betty graduated from Berne Union High School, Ohio University, and Ohio State University. She taught in the Columbus Public Schools for more than 30 years.

Betty is survived by her husband Donald, daughter Sandra (Jim) Risgaard, and grandchildren Cole, Brynn, and Soren.

She is also survived by her sisters Janet (Harold) Awalt, Carolyn (Leon) Awalt, and Mary (Larry) LeFever, her sister-in-law Barbara Derflinger, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert Derflinger.

A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 12:30 PM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 105 E. Mulberry St., Lancaster. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Maple Grove, Lancaster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
