Beth Dickson

Beth Essman Dickson 63 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center.

She was the office manager for Tansky’s Auto Mart, member of the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church, a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1972. She attended Mt. St. Joseph College in Cincinnati. She enjoyed playing in the high school band, and being a majorette. She was a partner Living Waters Pond Supplies with her husband, enjoyed her dogs and birds and was an avid fisherman. Beth was a very dedicated and determined lady. She had successfully lost 97 lbs. with the Weight Watchers Program and had maintained her goal for the past 20 months.

Beth is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Art Dickson; mother, Ann Essman of Lancaster, Ohio; brother, Dr. James (Pam) Essman of Spartan, South Carolina; sister, Dr. Ann Essman (Craig) Dunn of Lancaster, Ohio; sister-in-law, Beth Essman of Dublin, Ohio; close nieces, Sarah Smith, Andrea Essman and other nieces and nephews; three step-grandsons, Brandan Taylor, Devon Taylor and Mason Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Andrew Christopher Essman, brother, Dr. Thomas Essman and grandmother, Elizabeth Barrett.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Friends may visit Friday 4-6 p.m. at the church.

Memorial gifts maybe given to the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church, 1004 W. Sixth Ave., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 in her memory.
