Barbara Mathews

April 6, 1933 — February 25, 2011

Barbara J. Mathews, age 77, of Howard, OH, and formerly of Fairfield Co. passed away at the Country Club Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon. She worked as an RN and as a medical records supervisor for 20+ years for the Fairfield Medical Center. She was survived by her children, Robert Stephen (Carol Ann) West of Carroll, Nancy (Jim) Boyer of Washington Courthouse, Jan Etta (Jim) Hussey of Lancaster, Vicki Lynn West of Carroll; Michael Douglas (Marie) West of Grove City, Lynn Mathews of Port St. Lucy, FL, Steve Mathews of Jackson, MI, and Mark (Dawn) Mathews of Jackson, MI; sister, Marylyn Wolf of Beckley, WV; and several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Hudson and Pauline (Kehrer) Keller, and step-father Roy Keller; grandparents, Mary and George Hudson and aunts, Ruth and Marjorie Hudson; first husband, Clarence West, and second husband, Urlin Duane Mathews.
A service will take place on Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME at 10:30AM officiated by Pastor McDowell. Burial will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call from 9AM until the time of the service Saturday. Memorials can be made in Barbara’s name to the First United Methodist Church 163 E Wheeling St. Lancaster, OH 43130 or the Knox County Hospice 17700 Coshocton Rd. Mt Vernon, OH 43050.
