Barbara Ellen Miller

Barbara Ellen Miller, age 65 of Lancaster, passed away at the Pickering House on June 27, 2022.  She was born to the late Betty Jo Harshbarger and Millard “Dee” Miller on Sept. 16, 1956.  She was employed at the Ohio Juvenile Detention Directors Association where she loved her supervisors and co workers. Barb had a very creative imagination accompanied by a funny wit.  She was always joking and making people laugh, trying to make a bad situation better. She loved drawing, and creating things.  Her favorite holiday was Halloween and she would always make her own creative costume.

Barb is survived by her partner of 17 years, James Naylor; son, Frank E. Underwood; daughter, Katie (Hank Hysell) Underwood; loving grandchildren, Kaylee, Haydon, and her little buddy, Mayson; siblings, Cathy Miller, Mary Fauble, Karen “Sue” Miller, and James Miller; cousin, Gary (Rita) Wright; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, officiated by her niece Carrie Ray. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster.  Family and friends may call on Thursday 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral Home.
