Barbara Chaffin

Barbara A. Chaffin (Braden), 59, of Lancaster was born to George W. and Nancy J. Braden on January 7, 1953 in Spencer, West Virginia. She went home to live with the Lord on April 5, 2012 after a brave but brief battle with cancer.
She was a nurses assistant and home healthcare provider, but above all else she was a devoted mother and friend who spent most of her time caring for others.
Barbara was a beautiful and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all. She is survived by her parents of Lancaster; Tony Chaffin of Baltimore; daughters, Lisa (Curtis) Doss of Canal Winchester and Angela (Gary) Curnell of Baltimore; son, Jeremy (Ashley) Chaffin of Millersport; grandchildren, Britain, Mason, Braden, Trey, Trent, and Jacson; sisters, Patty, Iva (Steve) Spicer, Jane (Rick) Lutz, and Teresa; brothers, John (April) Braden and George Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Dale Wesley who went to live with the Lord on April 5, 2007.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore. Friends and family may visit from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Caring Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Barbara to the Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
