Barb Mowery

Barb A. Mowery, age 61 of Thornville, formerly of Lancaster, died February 5th, 2015 at the Pickering House. She was born on March 31, 1953 to her parents, Joan Reich Black and the late Richard Black. She worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Bieter and Flege and the Heritage Pharmacy. She was a member of the Buckeye Lake Moose Lodge 2434. Barb enjoyed reading and watching crime shows. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Mowery of Thornville; mother, Joan Black; sister, Pam (John) Sweeney of Lancaster; brothers, Mike (Sue) Black of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick (Carol) Black, and Chris Black all of Lancaster; mother-in-law, JoAnn Mowery; sisters-in-law, Connie (Randy) Crews and Brenda Mowery; special niece Tabatha Reed, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barb is preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffany Mowery; father, Richard Black; and sister, Virginia Levacy.
A funeral service will take place at 1:30PM on Tuesday, at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Chaplain Karl Hartmann. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in her name to the Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130.
