Astrid M. "Maggie" Tippie

Astrid M. “Maggie” Tippie 62 of Gahanna, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born on February 19, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late John and Hanna Olsen Lyon. She was a retired title agent for Assured Ohio Title Agency. Astrid like to travel, loved her grandchildren, loved to garden and flowers.

Astrid is survived by her husband 13 years, James W. Tippie; sons, Edward Shane (Joy) Dye of Corning, Ohio and Timothy Dye of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter, Sara Dye of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Gage Dye, Kassidy Dye, Gracie Dye, Noah Dye, Isaiah Dye, Ava Dye, Holden Kessler, Dominic Kessler and Nash Kessler; great-grandchild, Kale Riggs; brothers, John Lyon of Olive hill, Kentucky and Mickey Lyon of Portsmouth, Ohio; sisters, Susie (John) Wassmuth of Lancaster, Ohio and Beth Lyon of Ashland, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST. LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
