Anna "Peggy" Mohler

Anna “Peggy” Mohler, 101, passed away on June 9, 2024 at The Wyngate in Circleville where she received hospice care. She was born in Lancaster on January 28, 1923 to William and Edna (Perry) Malloy and was a 1940 graduate of Lancaster High School. She married Charles E. Mohler on July 4, 1941 and celebrated over 64 years of marriage. In 1988 she retired from Anchor Hocking as an executive secretary after 37 years of service.
Peggy was an accomplished seamstress, sewing dancing and skating costumes, designing and sewing little girls’ dresses, making tailored suits for work, and sewing new two-piece choir robes for First Methodist’s St. Cecilia Choir. She could knit and crochet with expertise. She bowled and golfed into her nineties, was a winning euchre player at Olivedale, and enjoyed playing her beautiful Hammond organ.
She is survived by daughter Jacquelyn (Reginald) Warner; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren: Peter (Karen) Hazelton, Sean and Ethan; Andrew (Yuka) Hazelton, Artie and Charlie; Sara (Colin) Barbera, Maeve and Cass; Eric Neal, Kalin; Angie Neal; and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Bonnie Neal Morehead Mazza; and sister and brother-in-law Mary Louise (Leo) Lamb.
Visitation will be held at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130, on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 12 noon - 2 PM, with a private burial at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
