Anna Mae (Good) Banfill

Anna Mae Banfill, 98 of Newark, Ohio passed away surrounded by her family on September 13, 2023, at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Westerville, Ohio on January 4, 1925, to Clarence and Anna (Knece) Good.

Anna was married to Harry Leo Mummey Jr. for 35 years and had six children. In 1978, Anna married the love of her life, Robert, and was married for 30 years.

Anna retired from Lancaster Hospital where she was the board secretary. She attended Jacksontown United Methodist Church. Anna was a full-time mother and grandma. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, doing puzzles, and a good game of euchre, if she were your partner, you were sure to win. She also absolutely loved going camping.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Roseanna (John) Smith; sons, Danny (Tina) Mummey, David (Barbara) Mummey, and Donald (Tammy) Mummey; grandchildren, Jeremy (Stacey) Mummey, Cindy (Steve) Bryan, Dannette (Scott) Bartlett, Danny (Sally) Mummey, TJ (Crystal) Mummey, Darrin Mummey, Scott Mummey, Renee (Mike) Fortner, David (Trish) Mummey, Candi (Ned) Rodencamp, Marshi (Rusty) Tipton, Amy (Jim) Bower, Thad (Nikki) Houseman, Tara (John) Albert and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Banfill; parents, Clarence and Anna; brothers, John and Harvey Good; sisters, Ruth Dye, Martha Wright, Marien (Jim) Marietta; and sons, Jerry (Brenda) Mummey and Roger (Nina) Mummey.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with David Mummey officiating.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM before the service.

Per Anna’s wishes, Caring Cremation® will take place following the service.
