Anna Azbell

Anna Laura Azbell, age 83, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on September 27th, 2014 at The Pickering House, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 5th, 1931 to the late Thurman and Gladys Ward Welch in Rochester, OH. Anna was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, the Moose Lodge 955, and she retired from Anchor Hocking. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Ann was survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Eugene Azbell; sons, Frederick (Sherilyn) Poling and Thomas (Sue) Poling; daughter, Rebecca (Steven) Anderson; eight grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sonny, Frank, and Therman Jr. Welch; sister Sally Salzgaber; brother-in-law, Walter Beougher, Sister-in-law, Molley Welch
A service will take place on Wednesday at 10:30AM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Pastor Todd Noland. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call from 2PM until 4PM and 6PM until 8PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. Memorials can be made in her name to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd.
