Alberta M. Ellis 90 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at OSU Wexner Medical Center – Inpatient Hospice of Central Ohio.
She was retired from JCPenny Co. as manager in the Catalogue Department. She was a member of WayPoint Christian Church formerly the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ, Twig 2 at Fairfield Medical Center, Dorcus Society of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ, and Olivedale Senior Citizens Center
Alberta is survived by her son, Jeffrey Alan (Janet) Ellis of Lancaster, Ohio; daughters-in-law, Tina Ellis and Brenda Ellis; four grandchildren, Kyle Ellis, Jordan (Dorothy) Ellis, Tara (Brian) Croft, and Eric Ellis; two step-grandchildren, Daniel Roble and Amanda Agnes (Adam) Brown; three great-children, Ian M. Ellis, Emma R. Ellis and Quentin A. Croft; five step great-grandchildren, Mackenzy Roble, Elisa Brown, Richard Steven Brown, Susan Gale Brown and Lamb Dwight Brown; sister-in-law, Sharon Queen of Lancaster, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years whom she married in 1949, George N. Ellis son, G. Steven Ellis and grandson, Corey Alan Ellis, parents, Charles and Josie (Gue) Queen, sister, Garnet Ayers, and brothers, Clinton, Norman, Charles, David and John Queen.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
