Albert Steiner III, age 73 of Lancaster, died January 22nd, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Lancaster, on November 12, 1945 to the late Albert Steiner Jr., and Marie Overholt Steiner. Albie served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He graduated from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and obtained his Masters Degree from Northern Colorado University. He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption, where he volunteered for many duties. Albie retired from NetJets in Columbus, where he managed pilots. He was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Albie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sister, Joan Steiner; brother, John (Kathy) Steiner; and nephews, Christopher (Lindsey) Steiner, Joseph Steiner, and Matthew (Anna) Steiner.
Albie was preceded in death by his parents.
Caring Cremation® has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A Memorial Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Craig R. Eilerman will take place at St. Mary of the Assumption, on Thursday Feb. 1st at 10:30AM. The Lancaster Veteran burial detail will have a committal at St. Mary’s Cemetery following the service. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 5PM until 7PM on Wednesday with a Knights of Columbus service at 7PM.
