A. Louise Goodman Floyd

Alice “Louise” Floyd, 99, of Newark, Ohio, passed away at Tuscany Gardens on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was born to the late Edward and Mary Ellen (Seymour) Callahan on December 9, 1924. She was just 5 months shy of turning 100. 

Louise enjoyed reading books and dancing to all kinds of music. She was known to be an excellent cook, especially when it came to fried chicken. She loved cooking for her family. Louise lived in Florida for several years and liked going boating. Louise was a wonderful caretaker for her family and friends. If anyone knew Louise, you know she loved the color red and she was always carrying her ‘Whips’ red lipstick. 

Louise is survived by her children, Linda Goodman and Jeanne Rosebraugh; grandchildren , Jason (Dani) Goodman, Jamie Hernandez, Eric (Lori) Uhl, Angie (Brad) Mann, Brandi (Chris) Shackleford, Ronda (Robert) Day, and Ryan (Cassandra) Rosebraugh; step children, Susan (Chris) Neisler, Sandy (Bret) Bordener, and Dan (Emily Shrader) Floyd; niece, Shelley Nichols; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her 2 husbands, Robert Goodman and Robert Lee Floyd; son, James E. Goodman; siblings, Faye Coey, Edward Callahan, Raymond Jenkins, and Richard Jenkins; stepdad, Tom Jenkins; special niece, Barbara Ellen Nichols; daughter-in-law, Nancy Goodman; son-in-law, Ronnie Rosebraugh and special friend, Mary Mann. 

A funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at noon at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 405 N. Columbus Street, Lancaster, OH. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 am to the time of the service. Burial will take place following the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, 111 E. Main Street 2nd Floor, Sevierville, TN 37862.
