Michael Ernest Smith

Michael Ernest Smith 62 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at OSU Wexner Medical Center.  He was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ernest and Donna Jean Smith.  He served in the US Air Force and later worked for Anthem Life Insurance Co.

Michael loved to watch old western movies and watch Ohio State Buckeyes play.  One of his passions was to dive into a deep study of theology relating to the Bible.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Melissa Massey-Smith; children, Blake (Kelly Rigganbach) Smith of Westerville, Abby Smith and Claire Smith both of Baltimore; grandchildren, Leo and Eva; brother, Tim (Paula) Smith of Baltimore; sister, Chris (Toby Rece) Smith-Rece of Lancaster; nephews, Andy Smith and Alex (Haley) Smith and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Judith Massey of Columbus. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Caring Cremation® is being handled by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, BALTIMORE, OHIO. No services to be observed.
