Michael Alan Barlow, 66 of Circleville, Ohio passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, August 11, 2023. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on January 11, 1957 to the late Vernon and Dorothy Barlow.
After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. and served his country. When he finished the military he became a semi-truck driver for many years where he would lastly drive “Ole Whitey” a 1994 Freightliner while teaching Colt to drive often scolding Colt about getting his foot out off the gas pedal or he was heading for a ticket. Michael worked for Schooley’s Truck and Trailer Repair.
Michael enjoyed fishing, mowing the yard, watching Teays Valley Football and he was especially fond of #34. He loved his many pets, his last one being a dog named General Lee. He loved watching old westerns and The Andy Griffith Show.
He would share a cup of coffee with anyone most recently with Stefi every morning. He was blessed to be married to the love of his life, Joyce for 15 years. Michael helped Joyce raise her four children.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, wife, step-son, Charles Bailey and sisters, Carol Ann Gaskill and Kathy Ciccollela.
He is survived by his step-daughters, Stef (Randy) Bailey and her son, Kolben all of Circleville; Samantha Bailey of Lancaster; step-son, Todd Stapleton of Newark; sister, Cheryl Garner of Kokomo, Indiana; “special friends”, Michael and Jym Beth Schooley, along with his “bonus grandkids”, Colt, Judd, Lane and Jace Schooley all of Ashville.
Caring Cremation® is being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO.
Memorial gifts may be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
