Linda Kay (Miller) Schaffner

Linda Kay Schaffner, 83, of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Christmas day, Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center.

Linda was born on July 28, 1939 in Baltimore, Ohio, the only daughter of the late Everett and Ruth Miller. She was a graduate of Liberty Union High School, Class of 1957.

She was a secretary for Ohio Fuel Company (Columbia Gas Company), member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Basil Garden Club, FFA and the Mother’s Club.

Linda was an avid shopper, enjoyed spending time with friends at the local coffee shop and loved playing Tripoli.

Linda is survived by her husband of 63 years, Terry Schaffner; son, Michael (Margaret) Schaffner of Warrenville, Illinois; grandchildren, Danielle Powell, Jesse Powell, and Kellie Schaffner; sister-in-law, Leslie Schaffner; her dearest friend Nancy Roshon and pen pal, Ann Parkenton of England.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Schaffner Ashman and parents.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN STREET, BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Rev. Dr. William Nirote and Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Friends may visit Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
